Wilson's Apple and Cinnamon Cake

Ingredients

For the softness

  • 2 apples (Golden or Reine des Reinettes type)

  • 2 eggs

  • 60 g caster sugar

  • 100 g of wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 50 ml of milk (or almond milk)

  • 40 g melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

  • 1 pinch of salt


Preparation

🍏 1. Prepare the dough

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C .

  2. Peel and cut the apples into small pieces.

  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture turns white.

  4. Add the melted butter, milk and mix well.

  5. Add flour, yeast, salt and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.


🍎 2. Add the apples and cook

  1. Add the apple pieces to the dough and mix gently.

  2. Pour the mixture into a lightly buttered mold.

  3. Bake for 25 minutes , until the cake is golden brown and a knife inserted in it comes out clean.


❄️ 3. Rest and tasting

  1. Leave to cool before unmolding.

  2. Enjoy warm or cold, plain or with plain yogurt as an accompaniment.
